<p><strong>Win Htein</strong>, a current* and former prisoner of conscience, elder politician of the National League for Democracy, Aung San Suu Kyi's right-hand man, former parliamentarian, and former army captain, has chronicled his life in the context of Burma's struggle for civil liberties.</p> <p>* For speaking out against the military coup d'?tat of 1 February 2021, he was detained on sedition charges in early February and sentenced in late October to 20 years in prison.</p> <p>To mark his 80th birthday behind bars on Christmas Eve, 24 December 2021, and to highlight the plight of Burma's political prisoners, his memoirs in English has now been made available as e-book and print-on-demand paperback.</p> <p><strong>T.
